As you may or may not tell, I am an affiliate marketer.

And there are a multitude of reasons why I chose to do affiliate marketing instead of the hundreds of other businesses in the world. I will be talking about these reasons in this post.

First, you do not have to own your own product

This is one of the greatest benefits of doing affiliate marketing.

As the name suggests, you are simply an affiliate and not the product owner. Which means that you do not have to create the product, set up the payment cart, do the delivery, write the sales copy, do up the graphics and bother yourself with all the technical mumbo jumbo.

All you have to do is promote the merchant and you are good to go.

Second, you do not have to hassle yourself with the customer service

Customer service sometimes takes a lot of time and will often be a drain on your resources. That is why being an affiliate is good, because you also do not have to deal with the after-sales customer support… let the merchant do all of that.

Third, Commissions are very high for digital products.

And finally, the commissions for digital products are insanely high. A typical clickbank commission rate you see is 75% and I think most people will be hard-pressed to find a better commission rate anywhere else in the offline world.

Best of all, the merchant does the work and you get 75% of the profits? I think this is insane. But it looks like the merchants don’t think so… So let us take advantage of this and make the money in affiliate marketing while we can.
